Building, Sharing, and Expanding AI Knowledge at Gen3
Guillaume from Gen3 on fine-tuning open-weight AI models using LoRA and why open-source AI, education, and community matter as much as innovation.
After months of hands-on work at aigent.run alongside Shen and Mark, I feel it’s the right time to start opening up about the knowledge we’ve been gathering around artificial intelligence. The AI space is evolving at immense speed, and it’s clear to me that it will touch nearly every industry and business in the coming months. At Gen3, our goal is not only to build cutting-edge products but also to help others learn, adopt, and integrate AI in ways that create real impact.
Why is this important? Because the future of AI shouldn’t be locked behind closed doors. Too much of today’s AI landscape is dominated by black-box models, where only a handful of companies understand how they work. By focusing on open-weight and open-source approaches, we’re making sure developers, entrepreneurs, and even hobbyists can experiment, contribute, and innovate freely.
The first video I’m releasing is a quick but technical walkthrough on fine-tuning open-weight models such as Llama or OpenAI OSS using LoRA, a lightweight training technique. LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation) enables anyone to adapt large AI models to specific tasks without needing massive compute resources. This means:
- Smaller teams can personalize AI models for their unique use cases.
- Businesses can save costs by fine-tuning existing models instead of training from scratch.
- Developers can iterate faster, experimenting and deploying tailored AI systems that truly fit their needs.
This kind of accessibility is what excites me the most. It opens doors for more people to build with AI, not just consume it.
But this is just the beginning. Our plan at Gen3 is to release much more content like this as we expand our AI infrastructure, products, and shared knowledge base. Education is a core part of adoption, by lowering the barriers to understanding and experimenting, we can inspire more creators and innovators to push boundaries.
The AI wave is coming fast, and at Gen3 we want to make sure we’re not only riding it but also helping others learn how to surf. Whether you’re a developer curious about fine-tuning models, a business exploring AI integrations, or just someone fascinated by the space, we want to give you the tools and insights you need to participate.
Stay tuned, this is only the first drop. Much more is on the way as we continue to grow our AI infrastructure and share what we learn along the journey.
